In addition to all the operational knowledge required to work at a credit union, it is also time to starting thinking about your leadership development path and that of your employees. Entering its seventh year in 2017, nominations are now open for the highly prestigious Credit Union Leadership Institute. Over the course of six months, this unique learning opportunity takes a cohort of 10-15 non-CEO participants in each state (Arizona, Colorado and Wyoming) through an in-depth series of workshops designed for credit union employees who show the ability to assume greater roles and responsibilities.
While the first workshop of the 2017 session begins in March of next year, nominations for the CU Leadership Institute take place just once a year! Acceptance into the Credit Union Leadership Institute requires a letter of recommendation, along with the Nomination Form from one’s direct supervisor or CEO. Deadline for submission is December 2, 2016. Additionally, you are encouraged to apply for a professional development scholarship from the Mountain West Credit Union Foundation to assist with the cost of attending the Institute.
