The 2017 Stars of the Credit Union Movement will be recognized at the 10th Annual Foundation Gala on Friday, September 22, 2017. Four unique awards, each with specific criteria, are now open for nominations:
Emerging Leader of the Year
Distinguished Leaders Award
Credit Union Awards
Community Impact Award
Credit Union of the Year Award
Below is a description of each award with more details available in the downloadable nomination forms located at the bottom of this page (just scroll down). Credit Unions, Chapters, and other credit union groups should submit NO MORE THAN ONE entry per category.
Nomination forms will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2017. Electronic submissions are preferred and can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org We look forward to receiving your nominations!
Distinguished Leader Award will recognize lifelong service in the credit union movement reaching beyond the work at the natural person credit union that is exemplified by serving at the state, national, or international level. Achievement requires a contribution(s) which has benefited many credit unions. The recipient of this award will be inducted into the CU House Hall of Leaders in Washington, D.C.
Credit Union Emerging Leader of the YearAward will recognize an emerging leader serving the Arizona, Colorado, or Wyoming credit union movement. Any non-CEO/President level paid employee of an Arizona, Colorado, and Wyoming credit union during 2016 is eligible.
Community Impact Award will recognize a credit union program that has positively affected the community and Arizona, Colorado, and Wyoming credit union movement. Any service or project of an Arizona, Colorado, and Wyoming credit union is eligible. Nominations must be submitted by the credit union initiating the program.
Credit Union of the Year Award will recognize an individual credit union for its innovation and outstanding achievements in the various areas of day-to-day operations, financial prowess, and member service. This award will be judged based on credit union asset size in the following categories: up to $100M, $100M – $500M, and over $500M.
