FORT COLLINS, COLORADO – Blue Federal Credit Union is further serving the communities of Northern Colorado by opening two new branch locations within the next year. Blue currently serves almost 30,000 members in Colorado.

After opening its first Fort Collins branch in 2013, Blue is excited to support the community’s needs in more ways outside of financial services with these two new locations. Both branches will have spaces for community events and programs, including Colorado State University Athletics, as well as retail and office space for local businesses.

“Fort Collins has already proven to be a great community for Blue,” said Mike Martin, Senior Vice President of Administration at Blue Federal Credit Union. “Our sponsorship as the exclusive credit union of Colorado State University Athletics and growing membership base makes this a fantastic community for us to continue this growth effort.”

The two new branch locations will differ from traditional financial institutions with welcoming open concepts. Building on our purpose of rewarding members, both of the new locations have been designed with the Fort Collins community in mind.

The first branch will open in fall 2016 at 136 W. Mountain Avenue, just west of College Avenue. This Old Town Branch will sit in the vibrant heart of downtown Fort Collins. The branch’s Community Room will access an outdoor patio, where after-hours and CSU game-day events will be hosted.

The second branch is a ground-up construction project just east of Timberline Road on E. Drake Road. This full-service branch will be a 2,800 square foot location and will be the primary anchor for an integrated Community Plaza and professional retail spaces, which Blue is also pioneering. Three 2,500 square foot office condos for professional tenants will be available upon completion and two 10,000 square foot pads will be available for future development. The credit union has dedicated the corner location for a full-service restaurant and invites interested parties to contact the credit union. Blue is proud to create employment opportunities in addition to offering local financial services.

“The value that we can provide the 6,000+ households around our new Drake branch is immense. Not only will our branch serve as a multi-use outdoor space, we will be able to enhance our community outreach efforts and sharing our Rewards for Life program with those who want to strengthen their financial future,” Martin said.

An official ground-breaking ceremony for the Drake branch will be onsite on Wednesday, June 22 at 4:00 p.m., and the new branch is slated to open in early 2017.
