TruWest’s Henzel, Public Service’s Greiving and Reliant Federal’s Phillips to “Crash the GAC”
DENVER, CO (January 22, 2016) — Three young professionals have been named to “Crash the GAC” and represent the Mountain West Credit union Association’s tri-state region at next month’s Governmental Affairs Conference in Washington, D.C.
TruWest Credit Union’s (Phoenix, Az.) Kellie Henzel; Public Service Credit Union’s (Denver, Co.) Ben Greiving and Reliant Federal Credit Union’s (Casper, Wy.) Angel Phillips have been selected to attend Crash the GAC by The Cooperative Trust and Credit Union National Association.
Henzel is currently the Branch Sales Manager in the Gilbert branch of TruWest Credit Union. Greiving is a staff attorney for Public Service Credit Union, and Phillips is the Director of Marketing for Reliant Federal Credit Union.
“These three up-and-comers represent the future of the credit union movement, said Scott Earl, President and CEO of the Mountain West Credit Union Association. “The opportunity to Crash the GAC will give them
exposure to our very powerful story and allow them to learn things that will help them as they move forward in their careers in credit unions. Our future is in good hands.”
Crash the GAC will bring young credit union professionals together, running a tailored program alongside the main event and allowing for mentor sessions with key individuals; previously from the likes of National Credit Union Foundation, Credit Union National Association, Filene Research Institute and CUNA Mutual Group.
All Crashers receive a complimentary registration to attend GAC, from Credit Union National Association.
“The commitment from both CUNA and The Cooperative Trust to the Crash the GAC program says a great deal about the importance of young adults in the credit union system” says James Marshall, Manager of The Cooperative Trust, “looking at
the advocacy issues that face credit unions early in one’s career helps set our young professionals up with the right knowledge to help support their credit unions as they become our CEO’s of the future. With a reach across the whole of the United States, Crash the GAC brings a diverse group of future leaders to the forefront of credit unions at the industry’s premier event.”
The Crash the GAC is brought to you by The Cooperative Trust and CUNA, in association with Credit Union Leagues/Associations.
