Colorado Springs, Colo. (January 13, 2015) – AventaCares, the charitable Foundation of Aventa Credit Union, delivered toys, clothing, and holiday dinners to families in need as part of their Christmas for Kids program the week of December 22, 2014. Five families were selected and represented each of Aventa’s service areas: Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Center, Crestone and Saguache. Each family selected had undergone financial hardships in the 2014 calendar year and were members of Aventa Credit Union.
Each family was truly grateful and touched by the support AventaCares provided them during the holiday season. “Seeing the impact we made in the lives of these families was incredible. To know that we helped them in what would have been an otherwise hard time of year, is what makes our Christmas for Kids program so special. The smiles on the faces of these families reaffirms the AventaCares misson which is to enhance the quality of life for our families, friends and neighbors in the communities in which we live and serve,” said Julie Gwisdalla, AventaCares Foundation Board member.
