Colorado Springs, Colo. (June 18, 2015) – On June 18, 2015, AventaCares took part in the Colorado Springs Heart Walk benefiting the American Heart Association. AventaCares had a team of 40 walkers made up of Aventa Credit Union associates and their family members. AventaCares raised over $2,500 for the American Heart Association.
This is the fifth straight year that Aventa Credit Union associates have participated and raised money for the American Heart Association. “We believe in the American Heart Association’s mission to help prevent heart disease and stroke. We are proud to take part of this yearly event and we were thrilled that with the help of Aventa Credit Union associates and its members, we were able to raise a record-setting $2,500 for the American Heart Association,” said Deb Brown, AventaCares committee member and Heart Walk team captain.
AventaCares is a 501(c)3 founded in February 2012 by Aventa Credit Union associates who wanted to promote reinvestment in our communities. AventaCares mission is to support charitable activities in the areas that Aventa Credit Union serves, with the goal of improving the quality of life in our communities.
