Colorado Springs, Colo. (October 1, 2015) – Ent Federal Credit Union was recently named the Healthiest Large Company by the Colorado Springs Business Journal, which noted that as “One of the region’s largest employers, Ent pays particular attention to the health and well-being of its staff.” The award recognizes Ent’s Health and Wellness Program and related initiatives that encourage a healthy lifestyle for its more than 600 employees.
“Since the implementation of the Health and Wellness Program our health care renewal premiums have seen single-digit increases, while the trend across Colorado’s Front Range has been double-digits,” said Barb Winter, executive vice president of organizational resources. “In addition to the positive impact on our health care premiums, we believe the wellness program has boosted employee morale and created a healthier and more engaged workforce.”
The Health and Wellness Program is free for employees – even if they are not enrolled in the company medical plan – and offers monthly wellness incentives to encourage employees to take an active role in their overall well-being. Currently, 65 percent of all employees and 70 percent of the leadership team (at the vice president level and above) participate in this optional program.
