Horizons North Credit Union Hosts 8th Annual FREE Community Shred Event

NORTHGLENN, CO (June 8, 2015) – Horizons North Credit Union will be hosting a free community Shred Event from 9:00 AM to Noon on June 13, 2015.  In addition to providing a valuable community service HNCU hopes to raise public awareness for the need to securely destroy confidential documents as a way to help prevent identify theft and fraud.  Additionally, there will be information available on-site about the steps community members can take to help prevent identity theft.

“There’s been a lot of news about fraud because of insecurity with customer data. But there is more confidential consumer information stolen from paper statements and other physical documents. That’s why we offer our members and community residents a time to come and get their paperwork professionally shredded. We value everyone in our community and want to help them protect their sensitive data. We invite one and all to join us on June 13th for our 8th Annual Shred Day!” said Brad Harvey, CEO of HNCU.

The Shred Event is open to the public. There is a maximum of 3 banker size boxes/bags per vehicle. The Shred Event is FREE, but HNCU will be accepting donation’s benefiting the Children’s Miracle Network. All donations will stay local and go to Children’s Hospital Colorado.
