Division of Financial Services Approval Means All Centennial Residents &
Workers Are Eligible for Membership
CENTENNIAL, Co. (August 6, 2015) – Metrum Community Credit Union announced approval of its application for a community charter by the board of the Colorado Division of Financial Services (DFS). The DFS approval means that anyone who lives or works in the city of Centennial, CO is eligible to become a member of the 69-year-old financial institution. The approval was made during the July 10, 2015 DFS board meeting.
“This community charter allows us to better serve those in Centennial, a community we have been a part of for so long,” said Steve Kelly, President and CEO of Metrum Community Credit Union. “Our goal will be to offer our members new, and/or, better products and services, along with better rates and fees.”
Metrum Community Credit Union has been located within the Centennial area for over 55 years. Prior to 1992, MCCU served one of the largest employer groups in the community – Honeywell TID. Today, Metrum now serves 31 employee groups and 15 homeowner associations within the city of Centennial and over 19% of Metrum’s membership resides within the city.
Services like electronic/mobile banking, the Shared Branch network; which allows members to conduct certain transactions at any credit union that participates in the network; and CO-OP ATMs, will allow Metrum to adequately handle an increase in members and continue to provide excellent service. “Our facility in Centennial is now seven years old, and was built to accommodate future growth needs,” said Metrum’s Director of Marketing Karen Padrevita.
