Yuma, AZ, August 26, 2016 – As part of its community fundraising goal, AEA Federal Credit Union recently had the privilege of presenting $3,000 to Amberly’s Place.
Employees participate in the Jeans Giver Program all year long and donate $5 or $10 from their paychecks to wear jeans on specific days of the week. Each quarter, the funds raised are given to a charity selected by employees.
“Amberly’s Place is such a worthy charity helping those subjected to abuse at the hands of others by providing a safe haven. I was excited to learn they would be receiving the funds,” said Brian Mendivil, President and CEO.
“Our employee goal is to raise $5,000 for the entire year for local non-profit organizations who, in turn, help the residents in our community and we’re hoping to double that by year-end,” he said.
AEA Federal Credit Union has been building relationships since 1942. They have $255 million in assets and more than 33,000 members with five branches serving Yuma, Somerton and Parker, Arizona.
