Colorado Credit Union Sponsors Event Benefiting “The Captain Jason Dahl Scholarship Fund”

DENVER, Co. (May 27, 2014) – Colorado Credit Union (CCU) has announced it is a proud sponsor of The Front Range Birding Company Festival and Open House being held June 7 at Sagewood II Shopping Center in Littleton.

The festival honors community first responders and will feature activities, music, an arts and crafts fair and food. Monies raised will benefit “The Captain Jason Dahl Scholarship Fund.” Jason Dahl was the Captain of United Flight 93 on 9/11/2001. Jason was a Littleton Ken-Caryl resident and an outstanding member of our local community. His story is well known for the brave acts he performed that fateful day more than 10 years ago. The foundation named for him raises money for scholarships for aviation students. Learn more about the Dahl Fund by visiting

Colorado Credit Union (CCU) will be hosting a booth and will provide information and answer questions for any community member interested in the credit union difference. In addition, CCU will have face-painting available. Donations will be accepted and will benefit the scholarship fund. Also, CCU will hold a drawing to giveaway a $50 gift card.

“This is a tremendous community event and we are honored to be a sponsor of it,” said Mike Williams, President and CEO of CCU. “Captain Dahl’s valiant service and ultimate sacrifice trying to protect others exemplifies what makes this community and country great. To have the opportunity to help raise scholarship money in his name for the next generation of aviation professionals is a privilege.”
