Denver, CO (April 27, 2015) – After an extensive search, the Public Service Credit Union Credit Union Board of Directors has recently announced the appointment of Todd Marksberry as the credit union’s new Chief Executive Officer, replacing Dave Maus, who is retiring after serving for 36 years at the helm.
“The Board of Directors welcomes Todd with great enthusiasm and is convinced they have found a dynamic and engaging leader that will continue to guide the credit union into the future,” said PSCU Board Chairman Tim Farrell.
Mr. Marksberry is a seasoned credit union executive with more than twenty-two years of industry experience. Up until two years ago, he was the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Delta Community Credit Union ($4.6B assets) in Atlanta, GA. During his 16-year tenure, his leadership and management style produced a collaborative environment focused on service to the members and innovation that was beneficial to all stakeholders. These efforts propelled asset growth while at the same time driving high levels of member loyalty and strong values.
According to Farrell, “Todd is a very people oriented leader. He works to build strong teams, generate excitement, and support high interaction.”
Most recently, Mr. Marksberry has served as Senior Vice President at SavvyMoney, a San Francisco based organization that provides online credit score, loan revenue, debt management, and video and educational content solutions for 160 credit unions across the country. In this capacity, he worked closely with the CEO to lead the company’s product, service, user experience, sales and corporate partnership strategies, and to develop strategic vision and financial goals. While proud of his efforts at SavvyMoney, Mr. Marksberry’s deep passion for credit unions, and the right opportunity, have led him back to the credit union industry. “I’ve always relished the opportunity to serve an organization that shares my core values and has a heritage and culture that prioritizes trust, integrity and service,” Marksberry said. “To find a credit union that has built its reputation on being a leader and role model for the industry, it’s absolutely the perfect fit.”
Mr. Marksberry received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Eastern Kentucky University, Richmond (KY). He is also a graduate of the Credit Union National Association’s (CUNA) Management School, Executive Management School, and Strategic Planning Institute, as well as the Filene Research Institute’s renowned i3 program.
Mr. Todd Marksberry and his wife, Nanita, have two daughters and two sons. Todd’s family will be joining the Denver area community as soon as they complete the relocation of their household. Regarding their upcoming move, Todd said, “We are all excited about making our new home in Colorado and look forward to getting involved in the community.”
