Cheyenne, WY – Meridian Trust Federal Credit Union is celebrating International Credit Union Day in October 2017 by setting a goal to raise $20,000 for charity. Utilizing the theme “Brighten Your Day, the Credit Union Way,” the credit union is raising funds to help Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.
This Foundation’s mission is to raise awareness of childhood cancer causes, primarily for research into new treatments and cures of childhood cancer causes.
Meridian Trust has invited the community to raise money for this cause by participating in the LemonAid Raid Virtual 5k. Through October 20th, participants can race, run, walk, or use a treadmill to reach a distance of 5k. The virtual race is open to everyone, even dogs! The entry fee is $35 per person ($7.50 per dog). Proceeds go to the charity. Everyone can complete the distance on his or her own time and in any manner they choose. Those unable to run, walk, or use a treadmill have the option of making a donation. Register for the LemonAid Raid Virtual 5K online at https://www.lemonaidraid5k.com/ anytime between now and October 20th.
