Wear Jeans. Help Kids.

Miracle Jeans Day is September 18

On September 18, join hundreds of credit unions nationwide and raise money for your local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital by celebrating Miracle Jeans Day.  The concept is simple:  encourage employees to donate $5 in order to trade in their traditional work attire and wear jeans for the day instead. Or, for a $25 donation, employees will receive a free Miracle Jeans Day T-Shirt, specially designed for credit unions!

New & Improved for 2013
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has made it even easier to engage employees in Miracle Jeans Day.  This year, when you register your credit union for Miracle Jeans Day, you will receive a specific webpage and URL.  You can direct your employees here by sending them the link, and they can easily make their donation using a credit card.  This is also a great tool for setting a goal and tracking your progress.  Of course, you do not have to use this tool; however, CMN Hospitals does ask that you register your credit union even if you don’t plan to use the additional functionality, so they can best track credit union participation.

Making Miracles Happen
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals treat millions of children across North America regardless of their condition or ability to pay.  Here is just one story representing the millions of kids treated at member hospitals.  Meet Solaine:

Solaine was only 3 years old when she developed a rare type of acute inflammation of the brain. Within days, she had lost the
ability to move or speak and quickly reverted to the physical abilities of a 1-month-old child.  Armed with a great sense of humor, an incredible staff and the pediatric restorative care facility—paid for, in part, by CMN Hospitals—at Tucson Medical Center, she underwent therapy until she regained most of her cognitive and motor skills.

Nowadays, Solaine keeps busy by playing tennis on her school team, riding her horse in preparation for hunter/jumper competitions and volunteering with the hospital's pediatric therapy program. Solaine was treated at Tucson Medical Center in Arizona.
